An outdated rusty looking unit can change the whole look of the bathroom from good to awful. One way to give washrooms flair, however, is by adding steampunk toilets. It's like having a turn of the century naval ship in your house! These steampunk toilets are made from 100% pure copper and oak and combine old and new technologies. Designed by [Tesla](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/upfit-cyberpunk-tactile) punk, this toilet has a battery powered flusher and a laser aiming device, for those night pees. The steampunk toilets even come with cup holders so you can enjoy a beer while admiring the [lavatory designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/design-changes-everything) of yesteryear. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.7/10 - Popularity: 39% | Activity: 94% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Customization](https://www.trendhunter.com/customization) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Steampunk Home Decor:** Opportunity for companies to create a line of unique steampunk-inspired home decor products that appeal to those interested in blending the old with the new. - **Smart Toilets:** Companies can combine old and new technologies to create smart toilets with unique designs, such as integrating laser aiming devices or cup holders for added convenience. - **Luxury Bathroom Fixtures:** There is a market for high-end, designer bathroom fixtures such as steampunk toilets that are made from high-quality materials and have unique features. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home Decor Industry:** Manufacturers can create a line of steampunk-inspired home decor products, such as furniture, lighting, and accessories, to capitalize on the growing demand for vintage-inspired pieces. - **Plumbing Industry:** Companies can create luxury bathroom fixtures, including smart toilets with unique features, to cater to consumers who want to add a touch of extravagance to their homes. - **Hospitality Industry:** Hotels and resorts can stand out by incorporating unique and luxurious bathroom fixtures, such as steampunk toilets, to enhance the guest experience and provide a memorable stay. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Futuristic Intelligent Toilets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/intelligent-toilet.md) - [Smart Toilet Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-toilets.md) - [Brutalist Smart Toilets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/formation-02.md) - [Anti-Splashing Bathroom Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-urinal-design.md) - [Powerful Vortex Toilet Bowls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twistflush-toilet.md) - [Sci-Fi-Themed Metallic Potty Pods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-portal.md) - [Feature-Packed Smart Toilets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neolet.md) - [Artfully Sculptured Textured Toilets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-formation-02.md) - [Luxury Mobile Toilets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luxury-mobile-toilet.md)
