The little trinkets are ingeniously designed for any dining or drinking setting. He takes [boring old metal](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wa-lamp) and crafts it into ornaments that aren’t half bad to look at (they’re actually pretty freakin’ awesome). They range from tanks, to skier salt and pepper shakers, to [shot glasses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/idea-sekikawa-design) chilling around a table (ash tray). The designs are really quirky and the finished products are superbly made. Check out the gallery and the source websites to see these fantastic steampunked creations. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.4/10 - Popularity: 32% | Activity: 32% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Steampunked Creations:** Opportunity to disrupt the home decor industry by creating and selling steampunk-inspired products made from recycled materials. - **Upcycled Metal Ornaments:** Opportunity to disrupt the giftware industry by crafting unique ornaments from boring old metal, offering a more sustainable and artistic alternative to traditional decorations. - **Quirky Dining Accessories:** Opportunity to disrupt the hospitality industry by designing and producing unconventional dining accessories, such as tank-shaped salt and pepper shakers or shot glasses, to enhance the dining experience. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Decor:** Opportunity to disrupt the home decor industry by creating and selling steampunk-inspired products made from recycled materials. - **Giftware:** Opportunity to disrupt the giftware industry by crafting unique ornaments from boring old metal, offering a more sustainable and artistic alternative to traditional decorations. - **Hospitality:** Opportunity to disrupt the hospitality industry by designing and producing unconventional dining accessories, such as tank-shaped salt and pepper shakers or shot glasses, to enhance the dining experience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Steampunk Aesthetic Espresso Makers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/steampunk-espresso-machine.md) - [Explosion-Damaged Sculpture Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-into-darkness.md) - [Surrealist-Inspired Tea Pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tea-for-two-collection.md) - [Industrial All-Metal Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lockwerk-coffee-table.md) - [Shimmering Oceanic Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/liquid-table.md) - [Tubular Metal Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tube-collection-1.md) - [Steampunk Desktop Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/3in1-desk.md) - [Metal-Centric Playful Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sight-unseen-1.md) - [Otherworldly Wooden Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-sculptures-1.md)
