It is a heavy all brass construction with lots of details, including countless tiny bolts and rivets, electrically etched ornaments and scavenged parts. Chemical blackening gives it a strange dark blueish hue, contrasted with shining polished brass components and sanded edges. It contains a 12 W spot bulb and a rotary dimmer switch. The articulation is functional, allowing for different configurations, with one leg freely movable and the other holding the wires. It stands about one foot tall on a shiny wooden base that also contains the DC jack. If your desk is contaminated with ewoks, you certainly need this! ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.3/10 - Popularity: 92% | Activity: 90% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Steampunk Design:** This lamp showcases the trend of incorporating steampunk aesthetics into everyday objects, presenting an opportunity for designers to create more steampunk-inspired products. - **Industrial Styling:** The lamp's heavy brass construction and attention to detail reflect the trend of industrial styling, inspiring manufacturers to create more industrially styled products. - **Functional Articulation:** The lamp's functional articulation demonstrates the trend of interactive design, prompting designers to explore new ways to incorporate movement and flexibility into products. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home Decor:** The steampunk walker desk lamp aligns with the home decor industry, where designers can create unique and stylish lighting options for consumers. - **Design:** The lamp's steampunk and industrial design elements offer opportunities for designers to explore new aesthetics and create innovative products across various industries. - **Art and Sculpture:** The lamp's intricate details and artistic craftsmanship make it suitable for the art and sculpture industry, presenting artists with a chance to blend functional lighting with artistic expression. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Professional CNC-Machined Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hilight-lumenforge.md) - [Gothic Wooden Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gothic-table-lamp.md) - [Scenic Architecture Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/architecture-inspired-table-lamp.md) - [Minimalist Workstation Task Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/desk-lamp-concept.md) - [Animation-Inspired LED Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/animationinspired-led-lamp.md) - [Sculpted Wooden Desktop Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sleepy-wood-desk-lamp.md) - [Geometric Industrial Desktop Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nebula-lamp.md) - [Dynamically Customizable Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/illum-desk-light.md) - [Reclaimed Industrial Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wa-lamp.md)
