# Victorian Sci-Fi Toy Guns The Steampunk Nerf N-Strike Nite Finder Dazzles Dangerously By Matt Ho | Published 2011-10-21 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/steampunk-nerf-n-strike-nite-finder References: [gadgetsin](http://gadgetsin.com/steampunk-nerf-n-strike-nite-finder.htm) & [etsy](http://www.etsy.com/listing/83528847/steampunk-nerf-n-strike-nite-finder) The latest customized Nerf gun I've had the pleasure of stumbling upon is the [Steampunk](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/steampunk-espresso-machine) Nerf N-Strike Nite Finder by Montreal-based [Etsy](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arcade-clock) designer IsilWorkshop. The Steampunk Nerf N-Strike Nite Finder design takes on the Victorian, sci-fi aesthetics that's a trademark of the [steampunk genre](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/steampunk-nautilus). The entire gun has been revamped with a three-layer custom paint job finished with a protective varnish. The addition of brass gear, screen and other customizations adds to this badass piece that makes it truly original. Two slots are available for extra rounds on the bottom of the gun and there's a bright-red targeting light for more accurate shooting. In addition to the Nerf N-Strike Nite Finder, IsilWorkshop has also modified other Nerf guns that I highly recommend anyone to check out. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.3/10 - Popularity: 51% | Activity: 69% | Freshness: 8% ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Customized Steampunk Nerf Guns:** Opportunity for designers to create unique, Victorian-inspired designs for popular toy guns. - **Revamped Toy Aesthetics:** Potential for artists and designers to transform existing toys into visually stunning and collectible pieces. - **Targeted Enhancements for Accuracy:** Demand for modifications that improve the functionality and precision of toy guns for better shooting experiences. ### Where This Applies - **Toy Design and Customization:** The industry of modifying and personalizing toys to create one-of-a-kind pieces with niche aesthetics. - **Art and Collectibles:** Thriving market for customized and visually striking toys that cater to collectors and enthusiasts. - **Sports and Outdoor Recreation:** Opportunity to enhance the performance and accuracy of toy guns for recreational shooting activities. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Gel Pellet Toy Guns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hasbro-1.md) - [Sci-Fi Foam Dart Blasters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ee3-blaster.md) - [Video Game-Inspired Dart Blasters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nerf-lmtd-halo-needler.md) - [Prehistoric Foam Dart Blasters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nerf-dinosquad-armorstrike-blaster.md) - [Creator-Backed Toy Guns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mrbeast.md) - [Gel-Equipped Toy Blasters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pro-gelfire-mythic.md) - [Digital Laser-Powered Blaster Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/laser-tag-set.md) - [Video Game-Inspired Foam Blasters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nerf-x-destiny-gjallarhorn-blaster.md) - [Cutting-Edge Foam Dart Blasters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/long-range-blasters.md) - [Optimized Accuracy Foam Blasters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nerf-pro-stryfe-x.md)
