Local design studios Sander van Schaik and Robert-Jan de Kort Architectuur work in collaboration to create the holiday home dubbed Stay [Under the Radar](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/under-one-roof). It rests on top of what was once a military base in the Netherlands and is defined by its angular black forms.

The retreat is nestled in the De Hoge Veluwe National Park in a space called Buitenplaats Koningsweg, which is the [former German military base](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buitenplaats-koningsweg) that features aircraft hangars disguised as farm buildings. Sander van Schaik speaks about the retreat and its aesthetic. It shares, "Stay Under the Radar has a mysterious appearance with its [black angular shapes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shadow-box-house) – the folded down fibreglass open mesh gratings around make it seem like it has just landed on the forest floor."
