The 'States of Dress' art project by artist Robin Barcus Slonina consists of [dress sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shapes-we-take) from each of the 50 states in America.

Each frock is a representation of Slonina's views on each of the geographic locations within the US in their most natural and defining state. An interesting inspiration comes from New York as she dresses a model in [dumpster truck garbage](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/louther-x-carhartt-wip-fw25). Although it's a grimy idea, the dirt-ridden frock is quite [aesthetically pleasing to the fashion-eye](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/la-robe-ketchup).
