Scandinavian firm [CF Møller's](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cf-mller) state-of-the-art research facility in Copenhagen is a sculptural embellishment for the city's architectural makeup. The 15-storey Maersk Tower is a part of the [University of Copenhagen's](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/faroe-islands) Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. The building fulfills a number of functions, including providing a place for research and classes, conference auditoriums and spaces for meetings.

CF Møller's design for the state-of-the-art research facility boasts a star-shaped base, as well as a curved facade that is clad with "perforated metal louvers." The magnitude of the Maersk Tower surely makes a statement when observed in the context of surrounding architecture. The structure is intended to act as a "[sculptural linchpin](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vga-water-tower)" and, as far as visual perception goes, CF Møller has reached the desired effect.
