Dubbed the The Starling Box, the table (which doubles as a [storage table](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flutterbox)) is made using MDF. With a few twists and turns you can reveal The Starling Box’s miniature storage cubicles. The Starling Box is meant to be a [combination of storage and table](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-transformer-table), but is a topic of discussion for anyone in the same room with it. You can dazzle friends and company with a piece of furniture that’s a work of art. No standard palate was followed while making this piece of furniture, but it looks good nonetheless. Abstract and unconventional pieces of furniture are always a great addition to a workplace and home. Look for the Starling Box to be the talk of the town of the interior design world. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.4/10 - Popularity: 2% | Activity: 1% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Hybrid Furniture:** The Starling Box showcases the trend of combining different functions into one piece of furniture. - **Abstract Design:** Abstract and unconventional furniture pieces are gaining popularity in both workplaces and homes. - **Functional Art:** The Starling Box blurs the line between furniture and art, offering a conversation-starting piece for interior design enthusiasts. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Interior Design:** The Starling Box appeals to interior designers who are looking for unique and multi-functional furniture options. - **Furniture Manufacturing:** The trend of hybrid furniture presents an opportunity for furniture manufacturers to create innovative and versatile pieces. - **Art and Decor:** Abstract furniture designs like The Starling Box can be incorporated into art galleries, museums, and high-end home decor stores. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Bookshelf-Incorporated Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/overlap-table.md) - [Perplexingly Angular Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tadashi-side-table.md) - [Spinning Storage Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diy-spinning-coffee-table.md) - [Discreet Compartment Modern Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/taarof-table.md) - [Splintered Storage Console Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flitter-console-table.md) - [Metal Sheet Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twist-side-table.md) - [Storage Box-Transformed Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chunks-and-blocks.md) - [Asymmetrical Storage Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crossbred-side-table.md) - [Minimalist Book Storage Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pocket-coffee-table.md)
