These colorful galactic towels come in either a Han Solo, Chewbacca, Darth Vader or [R2-D2 design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/audio-technica-r2-d2). Fans can choose their towel based on their favorite Star Wars character and which side they support. My favorite Star Wars beach towel is the Han Solo towel that depicts a hunky, young Harrison Ford frozen inside a wall of gray carbonite. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.0/10 - Popularity: 80% | Activity: 63% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Geeky Beach Towels:** Opportunity for creating more geek-inspired beach towels with different themes beyond Star Wars. - **Character-themed Merchandise:** Potential for expanding character-themed merchandise to include towels for other popular film franchises. - **Personalized Fan Products:** Disruptive innovation opportunity to offer customized towels featuring fans' favorite characters from various films. ### Where This Applies - **Retail:** Retailers can tap into the market by stocking a variety of character-themed beach towels to attract a wider range of customers, including Star Wars fans. - **Film Merchandise:** Opportunity for film merchandise companies to expand their product offerings to include beach towels, catering to the fanbase. - **Personalized Products:** Companies specializing in personalized products can leverage the demand for fan merchandise by offering customized towels featuring different film characters. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Desert Planet Sci-Fi Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sands-of-tatooine-collection.md) - [Sci-Fi Franchise-Inspired Fashion](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-wars-collection-2.md) - [Sci-Fi-Themed Desktop Mats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-wars-orbitkey-desk-mat.md) - [Artful Graphic Beach Towels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/artist-terry-beach-towel.md) - [Millennium Falcon Trays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-wars-tray.md) - [Transforming Sci-Fi Plush Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pillow-pets-star-wars-chewbacca.md) - [Sci-Fi Gaming Chair Covers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/secretlab-star-wars.md) - [Sci-Fi-Themed Hard Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/firecuda-external-hard-drives.md) - [Sci-Fi-Inspired Lenses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ray-ban-star-wars.md)
