# Sci-Fi Jet Timepieces The Star Wars Starships Wall Clock Flies from the Screen to the Home By Matt Ho | Published 2011-11-09 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-wars-starships-wall-clock References: [gadgetsin](http://gadgetsin.com/star-wars-starships-wall-clock.htm) & [etsy](http://www.etsy.com/listing/83868645/star-wars-clock-starships-and-fighters) Telling time has never looked so epic thanks to the Star Wars Starships Wall Clock by YOUgNeek. Fans of the [sci-fi franchise](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brickbuilt-star-wars-logo) will immediately recognize the pieces on the Star Wars Starships Wall Clock. What's interesting is that the entire piece is actually inspired by a scene from Star Wars A New Hope Episode IV when Darth Vader and his crew go after Luke. The numbers have been replaced by tie-fighters which surround the X-Wing fighter headed towards the [Death Star](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ucs-death-star) that's in the middle. The pieces on the clock are authentic vintage classic Action Fleet Micro Machine battleships and vessels which have a black and silver pewter-like finish. In addition to this design, there's also another one that shows off all the ships from the movie surrounding the clock. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.2/10 - Popularity: 26% | Activity: 31% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Sci-fi Timepieces:** Opportunity for creating innovative timepieces inspired by popular sci-fi franchises like Star Wars. - **Vintage-inspired Clocks:** Disruptive innovation opportunity for incorporating authentic vintage classic Action Fleet Micro Machine battleships and vessels into clock designs. - **Film-inspired Home Decor:** Opportunity to create home decor items that are inspired by scenes and elements from popular films like Star Wars. ### Who This Affects Most - **Consumer Electronics:** Innovative timepieces can be a unique addition to the consumer electronics market. - **Home Furnishings:** Vintage-inspired clocks can disrupt the home furnishings industry by offering unique and nostalgic designs. - **Entertainment Merchandise:** Film-inspired home decor can provide new product lines for the entertainment merchandise industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Subtly Sci-Fi Watch Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-wars-x-citizen-rebel-starfighter-boxed-set.md) - [Tubular Illuminating Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spacetime-blade.md) - [Starship-Inspired Dynamic Timepieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magellan-automatic-star-trek-warp-speed.md) - [Sci-Fi Spacecraft LEGO Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scifi-spacecraft-lego-set.md) - [Venn Diagram Wall Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jetlag-clock.md) - [Shooting Target Wall Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clockwerk-target-clocks.md) - [Galaxy-Inspired Timepieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ur-100v-lightspeed.md) - [Millennium Falcon Trays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-wars-tray.md) - [Moon-Inspired Wall Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moon-trip-clock.md)
