# Galactic Rolling Pins This Star Wars Rolling Pin Lets Bakers Customize Their Dough By Mishal Omar | Published 2016-06-23 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-wars-rolling-pin References: [odditymall](http://odditymall.com/star-wars-rolling-pin) & [etsy](https://www.etsy.com/shop/Favouritecookies) This Star Wars rolling pin allows bakers to customize their dough to resemble scenes from the popular movie franchise. The Star Wars rolling pin, designed by [Etsy](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/3dprinted-cookie-cutters) store 'Favouritecookies,' features imprints of several important characters and objects from the movies. These include Darth Vader, Yoda, [R2-D2](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/audio-technica-r2-d2) and the classic 'Star Wars' sign. The store themed one of its rolling pins after another famous pop culture series -- the TV show Breaking Bad. The rolling pin store also features other themes dripping in irony -- with a cat rolling pin that references the Internet's obsession with felines, as well as a "hipster symbol" rolling pin. These unusual cooking tools were created to add a touch of humor to the baking process, or just to add an aesthetically pleasing design to cookie dough and pie crusts. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.2/10 - Popularity: 78% | Activity: 71% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Food](https://www.trendhunter.com/food) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Customizable Rolling Pins:** Opportunity for bakers to personalize their baked goods with unique imprints. - **Pop Culture Themed Tools:** Market for baking tools that feature characters and symbols from popular movies and TV shows. - **Humorous Baking Accessories:** Demand for cooking tools that add a touch of humor and fun to the baking experience. ### Who This Affects Most - **Baking and Cooking Supplies:** Innovative rolling pins and baking tools can disrupt the traditional baking industry by offering consumers unique customization options. - **Home Kitchen Gadgets:** Opportunity for kitchen gadget manufacturers to tap into the pop culture trend and offer themed baking tools. - **Gifts and Novelty Items:** These unique rolling pins and baking tools can disrupt the gift and novelty industry by providing consumers with quirky and humorous gift options. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sci-Fi-Themed Donut Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pinkbox-doughnuts-star-wars-day.md) - [Versatile Modern Rolling Pins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-kitchen.md) - [Millennium Falcon Trays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-wars-tray.md) - [Streaming Series Cookie Cutters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/3dprinted-cookie-cutters.md) - [Festive Sci-Fi Building Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gingerbread-atat-walker.md) - [Sci-Fi Coffee Brews](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scifi-coffee-brews.md) - [Sci-Fi Show Drinking Vessels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/corkcicle-x-star-wars.md) - [Collectible Sci-Fi Coins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-wars-coins.md) - [Sci-Fi Franchise Logo Puzzles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brickbuilt-star-wars-logo.md)
