# Ominous Sci-Fi Desserts Fat Tony's Star Wars Jawa Cake Has Glowing LED Eyes By Kyle Towers | Published 2013-03-19 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-wars-jawa References: [neatorama](http://www.neatorama.com/2013/03/19/Jawa-Birthday-Cake/) & [flickr](http://www.flickr.com/photos/fat_tony_1138/7332911986/in/photostream) Don't mistake this Star Wars Jawa cake by Fat Tony's wife as cute; those cunning creatures can't be trusted. The cake itself was very well executed. The designer did a great job of capturing the essence of the mysterious Jawa. The LED eye lights certainly pop from the dark face of the cake, which is true of the actual character. I especially enjoy how the clothing of the Jawa was effectively made to look thin and textured like actual cloth. The Star Wars Jawa cake is a great tribute to [the franchise](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brickbuilt-star-wars-logo). Although, I'm sure the Jawa clan would be highly wary of its presence: they are a very curious and cautious breed after all. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 59% | Activity: 56% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Food](https://www.trendhunter.com/food) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **LED Eye Cakes:** Opportunity for bakeries to incorporate LED lights into their cake designs for a unique and eye-catching dessert experience. - **Franchise Tributes:** Market for specialty cakes inspired by popular franchises, allowing fans to celebrate their favorite characters in edible form. - **Textured Cloth Design:** Potential for bakers to experiment with creating texture on cakes that resembles real fabric, adding a new dimension to cake decorating. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Bakery:** Opportunity for bakeries to innovate and create visually striking cakes with LED eyes or textured cloth designs for special occasions and events. - **Event Planning:** Demand for event planners to incorporate franchise-themed cakes as visual centerpieces to enhance themed parties and events. - **Food Entertainment:** Opportunity for food entertainers to create interactive experiences by incorporating LED eye cakes into their offerings, capturing the attention of guests. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Galactic Cafe Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/Star-wars-themed-cafe.md) - [Collaboration Sci-Fi Cookies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-wars-oreo-cookies.md) - [Playful Space-Themed Desserts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spacethemed-dessert.md) - [Festive Sci-Fi Building Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gingerbread-atat-walker.md) - [Robotic Wedding Cakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/robocake.md) - [Holiday Collector’s Puzzle](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gingerbread-atat.md) - [Sci-Fi Coffee Brews](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scifi-coffee-brews.md) - [Desert Planet Sci-Fi Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sands-of-tatooine-collection.md) - [Sci-Fi-Inspired Classical Posters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sen-donnan.md)
