Kotobukiya, makers of the [lightsaber chopsticks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightsaber-lego), are releasing two trays just in time for summer. I love anything Star Wars, but what really sold me on these Star Wars Ice Cube Trays was the Han Solo in carbonite cube. The [R2-D2 mold](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/audio-technica-r2-d2) is pretty rad too, but true Star Wars fans should opt for the Han Solo mold. Both are available for pre-order now for the price of safe passage to Aldershot ($10). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.5/10 - Popularity: 5% | Activity: 2% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Drinking](https://www.trendhunter.com/drinking) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Sci-fi Kitchen Appliances:** These Star Wars Ice Cube Trays show potential for a market for sci-fi themed kitchen appliances. - **Nostalgia Merchandise:** The popularity of Star Wars merchandise showcases the potential market for nostalgic themed products. - **Novelty Kitchen Gadgets:** The production of the Star Wars Ice Cube Trays highlights the market potential for novelty kitchen gadgets. ### Where This Applies - **Consumer Goods:** The consumer goods industry can take advantage of the consumer interest in nostalgia merchandise. - **Kitchen Appliance Manufacturing:** Specialized kitchen appliance manufacturers have a market opportunity for sci-fi themed products. - **Sculpting and Casting Manufacturing:** Sculpting and casting manufacturers can benefit from the demand for unique novelty items like Star Wars Ice Cube Trays. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Millennium Falcon Trays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-wars-tray.md) - [Sci-Fi-Themed Hard Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/firecuda-external-hard-drives.md) - [Sci-Fi Coffee Brews](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scifi-coffee-brews.md) - [Cooling Beer Cubes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beercubes1.md) - [Star-Shaped Ice Cubes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-shaped-ice-cubes.md) - [Sci-Fi Bath Soaps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-wars-bath-soap.md) - [Stylish Ice Molds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cocktail-ice-sets.md) - [Sci-Fi-Themed Hot Sauces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dark-side-hot-sauce.md) - [Sci Fi-Inspired Desk Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightsaber-lego.md)
