Made out of [plastic toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buildabridge-mini-bridge) that have been spray painted in either metallic gold or silver, the scenes depicted are quite complex. Granted, for the price tags of $840 and $450, they would have to be. One of the light fixtures was created using the Ewok Village Playset, while the other is more of a mishmash of 'Star Wars' toys. Created by [Etsy](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arcade-clock) seller Marty McFly, who is based in Bellingham, Washington, the Star Wars Floor Lamps can be considered more of a pre-made shrine for ultimate fans than a functional piece of furniture. They are works of art. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 34% | Activity: 82% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Upcycled Toy Lighting:** Opportunity to create intricate light fixtures using upcycled toys, tapping into the sustainability trend. - **Pop Culture Inspired Decor:** Chance to design unique home decor items inspired by popular movies and franchises, targeting passionate fan communities. - **Functional Art Pieces:** Potential to combine art and functionality to create visually striking and unique furniture pieces that serve a purpose. ### Where This Applies - **Home Decor:** Innovative ideas for creating distinct and personalized decor items to cater to consumer demand for unique home furnishings. - **Sustainable Design:** An opportunity to explore eco-friendly design practices like upcycling and repurposing in the creation of unique lighting fixtures. - **Collectibles and Memorabilia:** Market for creating limited edition or custom-designed collectible pieces that appeal to passionate movie and franchise fans. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [LED-Powered Laser Swords](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/black-series-obiwan-kenobi-force-fx-elite-lightsaber.md) - [Motion-Activated Sci-Fi Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hasbro-2.md) - [Sci-Fi-Inspired Dynamic Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spacetime-transformation-lamp.md) - [Sci-Fi Scene-Inspired Lego Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scifi-sceneinspired-lego-set.md) - [Sophisticated Sci-Fi Toy Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-ultimate-collectors-series-atat.md) - [Creature-Like Floor Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-pink-robots-won.md) - [Futuristic Totemic Lighting Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/space-relics.md) - [Eclipse-Inspired Whimsical Pendant Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/space-traveler.md) - [Sculptural Lunar Lighting Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moonsetter-floor-lamp.md)
