Created by design studio Tado in collaboration with Unbox Industries for toy company Together Plus, the Star Wars Chubby Series consists of 12 different toys that look like Russian nesting dolls. The figures can be fit inside each other in a fun twist on a toy collection that is out of this world. Every subset within the awesome toy series contains three figures in descending size order so different dolls fit inside slightly larger ones. There are four subsets in all, which can be ordered separately. The Star Wars dolls are a [fun desk accessory](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightsaber-lego), not to mention an [ideal holiday gift](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gingerbread-atat) (or a perfect present for any time of the year, really). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.1/10 - Popularity: 17% | Activity: 7% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Life-Stages](https://www.trendhunter.com/life-stages) > [Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/toys) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Matryoshka Doll Collectibles:** Opportunity for creating collectible items in a matryoshka doll style, with the potential for various themes and licensed characters. - **Toy Series with Nesting Functionality:** Incorporating nesting functionality in toy series across various themes and characters to add an interactive and engaging element for collectors. - **Iconic Character Reimagining:** Reinventing popular characters in unique and unexpected styles, such as matryoshka dolls, to appeal to collectors and fans. ### Who This Affects Most - **Collectibles:** Creating a new line of collectible items, such as matryoshka doll sets, to cater to enthusiasts and collectors. - **Toy Manufacturing:** Incorporating nesting functionality in toy designs across various themes and licensed characters to enhance play value and collectibility. - **Art and Design:** Exploring innovative ways to reimagine iconic characters, like matryoshka dolls, through collaborations between designers and artists. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Festive Sci-Fi Building Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gingerbread-atat-walker.md) - [Sci-Fi Series Tech Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casetify-star-wars-day.md) - [Sci-Fi-Inspired Classical Posters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sen-donnan.md) - [Dark Sci-Fi Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/darc-sport.md) - [Sci-Fi-Themed Donut Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pinkbox-doughnuts-star-wars-day.md) - [Transforming Sci-Fi Plush Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pillow-pets-star-wars-chewbacca.md) - [Holiday Collector’s Puzzle](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gingerbread-atat.md) - [Celebratory Sci-Fi Toy Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-star-wars-25th-anniversary.md) - [Sci-Fi-Themed Miniature Figurines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/book-of-boba-fett-1.md)
