The constellation is designed to depict a large thunderbolt in the sky, in honor of Bowie's Aladdin Sane album cover. The constellation features several different stars joined together to form a large-scale lightning bolt in honor of the colorful red and blue makeup Bowie adorns on the cover of the Aladdin Sane record. The constellation connects seven stars together close to Mars and was recorded on the day of Bowie's passing. The act of honoring Bowie with a constellation is metaphoric to his legendary and timeless presence that will forever remain a part of the stars. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.0/10 - Popularity: 28% | Activity: 24% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Science](https://www.trendhunter.com/science) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Commemorative Constellations:** Creating unique constellations as a way to honor and commemorate notable figures or events. - **Collaborations for Tributes:** Teaming up with organizations or individuals to commemorate iconic figures through innovative and creative means. - **Symbolic Celestial Representations:** Using celestial symbols and imagery to pay homage to influential artists or cultural phenomena. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Astronomy:** Developing new ways to engage the public, such as creating personalized constellations and celestial tributes. - **Music:** Exploring unique partnerships with astronomy organizations to create commemorative experiences for music icons. - **Art and Design:** Applying artistic concepts and symbolism to celestial representations, giving rise to innovative commemorative projects. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Glamorous Rockstar-Inspired Dolls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/david-bowie-doll.md) - [Rockstar-Inspired Instant Film Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/for-the-rebel-rebels.md) - [Collectable Singer-Honoring Coins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/george-michael-coin.md) - [Commemorative Music Coins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/music-coins.md) - [Stardust Museum Ads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kent-monkman-being-legendary.md) - [80s-Inspired Ceramic Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flaming-stars.md) - [90s Rock Band Beers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/signature-brew-beers.md) - [Artificial Meteor Shower Displays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/meteor-shower-display.md) - [Iconic Band Apparel Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/freaks-store-2.md)
