Maybe I should invest in a star-shaped version like this Star Fish phone (manufacturer unknown, but maybe it’s King Triton?). While I’m not really serious about getting this Star Fish phone, which the sellers call the “Star Shape 1.8 inch Lady’s Cell Phone,” it’s an interesting concept that I’m sure more than a few people (not just ladies) will buy into. The Star Fish phone features [faux diamonds that light up](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brilliant-collection) in the dark, and the [standard bluetooth, camera](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/realme) and 2GB memory card. Interestingly enough, it’s not water proof. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.3/10 - Popularity: 47% | Activity: 13% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Novelty-shaped Phones:** Manufacturers can explore producing phones in unique shapes and designs, such as this star-shaped phone, to appeal to consumers looking for a more personalized experience. - **Customized Phone Accessories:** As consumers become more interested in unique phone designs, there is an opportunity for manufacturers and accessory makers to create customized phone cases and other accessories to match these niche-shaped phones. - **Luxury Phone Features:** The faux diamond feature on the Star Fish phone highlights the opportunity for manufacturers to explore new luxury phone features that could appeal to a specific group of consumers. ### Who This Affects Most - **Consumer Electronics:** The production and customization of novelty-shaped phones like the Star Fish phone creates new opportunities within the consumer electronics industry. - **Phone Accessories:** As the popularity of niche-shaped phones grows, so too will the demand for matching phone accessories, creating new opportunities within the phone accessory industry. - **Luxury Goods:** As the market for luxury phone features grows, luxury goods manufacturers can explore creating customized phones and accessories like the Star Fish phone to appeal to high-end consumers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Iconic Doll-Inspired Pink Phones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/barbie-flip-phone.md) - [Aquatic Smartphone Photography Domes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smartphone-mobile-mini-dome.md) - [Retro-Chic Nostalgic Flip Phones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/barbie-phone.md) - [Playful Custom Tech Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/charm-phone-case.md) - [Diving-Friendly Smartphone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/divevolk-seatouch-4-max-platinum.md) - [Swappable Keypad Cellphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sidephone-sp01.md) - [Wacky Design Smartphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/playful-phone-experimentation.md) - [Cannery-Inspired Phone Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/phone-boxes.md) - [Space-Themed Flip Phone Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pop-mart-x-samsung-galaxy-z-flip6.md)
