# Shifting Shade Lamps The 'FLAVOURS S01E01' Standing Floor Lamp Features a Removable Shade By Michael Hemsworth | Published 2017-03-31 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/standing-floor-lamp References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2017/03/31/hats-off-to-this-lamp/) The 'FLAVOURS S01E01' standing floor lamp acts as a quirky piece of home decor that enables users to utilize the design with or without the shade in order to offer enhanced functionality and style. Most if not all lamps are intended to be used with shades in order to diffuse light into specific directions in order to ensure optimal illumination. The 'FLAVOURS S01E01' from FLAVOURS DESIGN changes this perception by enabling the [shade to be removed](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tangent-lamp) and hung on the incorporated post on the side to switch up styles. The 'FLAVOURS S01E01' standing floor lamp is controlled via a [single switch](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tap-tap-table-lamp) that turns the unit on an off from the incorporated branch for optimal usage when you're sitting on a couch or chair. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.4/10 - Popularity: 54% | Activity: 10% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Customizable Lighting:** The ability to remove and switch lamp shades allows for personalized lighting options, catering to individual style and preferences. - **Integrated Design:** The incorporation of a hanging post on the lamp creates a multi-functional design that combines lighting and decorative storage. - **Simplified User Experience:** A single switch control makes the lamp easy to use, enhancing convenience and accessibility for users. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Interior Design:** The customizable lighting trend presents opportunities for interior designers to create unique lighting solutions that match their clients' aesthetic preferences. - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Furniture manufacturers can explore integrated lamp designs that provide both functional lighting and additional storage or features. - **Smart Home Technology:** Simplified user experiences like the single switch control in the FLAVOURS S01E01 lamp align with the growing demand for user-friendly smart home devices. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ultra-Flexible Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anywhereuse-lamp.md) - [Shape-Shifting Modular Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moodi.md) - [Hollow Candle-Like Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lampe.md) - [Nature-Inspired Living Space Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moonlight-floor-lamp.md) - [Suspended Halo Light Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lamplox-minimalist-floor-lamp.md) - [Contemporary Modular Floor Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/point-floor-lamp.md) - [Umbrella-Inspired Whimsical Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wasaga-lamp.md) - [Dual-Purpose Camera-Like Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nostalgian-floor-lamp-clock.md) - [Reversible Glass Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jal.md)
