The striking [staircase](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/meet-me-here) seems to be both going nowhere and simultaneously going everywhere. Without an end and a define start point, this ladder questions boundaries and meanings; what is real and what is imagination. Made of [steel and glass](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tide-stool), the Stairway creates a visual show with its shimmery effect and endless shape. Each one of its stairs has a transparent aquamarine color that, when combined with sunshine and the open sky, shines like a waterfall. This duality of imagery also reinforces the idea that reality starts and ends according to each individual. The Stairway by Danny Lane is a mesmerizing piece that is inspired by questions regarding metaphysics. Danny Lane is a well-known furniture and sculpture designer. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.2/10 - Popularity: 29% | Activity: 30% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Surreal Sculptures:** The trend of surreal sculptures presents opportunities for artists and designers to create visually striking and thought-provoking artworks that challenge conventional boundaries. - **Infinity Concepts:** The trend of exploring infinity concepts in art and design offers opportunities for creative individuals to push the limits of perception and provoke contemplation about the nature of reality. - **Transparency and Reflections:** The trend of utilizing transparency and reflections in artistic installations opens up possibilities for creating immersive, interactive experiences that blur the line between the physical and the imagined. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art and Sculpture:** The art and sculpture industry can capitalize on the trend of surreal sculptures by showcasing innovative and thought-provoking pieces that captivate audiences and challenge traditional artistic norms. - **Architecture and Interior Design:** The architecture and interior design industries can embrace the trend of infinity concepts to create captivating and awe-inspiring spaces that push the boundaries of perception and inspire contemplation. - **Experiential Installations:** The trend of transparency and reflections provides opportunities for the experiential installations industry to create immersive and interactive art experiences that engage visitors and encourage self-reflection. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sculptural Experimental Artforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ladder-series.md) - [Bold Architectural Renovations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flat-iron-house.md) - [Concrete Spiral Staircase Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cadenza.md) - [Dynamic Bookend Lighting Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stair-table.md) - [Sculptural Townhome Staircases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/atelier-pierre-thibault-1.md) - [Timbered Passage Stair Extensions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-annex.md) - [Statement Street Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/surreal-street-art-1.md) - [Monochromatic Sculptural Gateways](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-gateway.md) - [Brain-Like Labyrinths](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brash-collective.md)
