Designed by [Bates Masi](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/miles-c-bates) Architects, the workstation extends outwards from the staircase and is achieved using the same materials therein. This includes steel and wood, which helps to create a senesce of cohesion as it saves space in the home. The staircase workstation maximizes the functionality of a space and allows for essential furniture to become a more permanent part of the home. The could speak to a larger shift towards working from home as more professionals seek out spaces that are built with [dedicated office areas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ab019-wall-desk) in mind.
