More Than predicts that by the year 2022, over half of the United Kingdom's dogs will be overweight due to overeating and poor care. As ridiculous as this contraption may appear, it could very well be needed for many households since carrying [obese dogs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/omni-leanpaws) up the stairs is nigh impossible for many. The ridiculousness of the Stair of the Dog 2022 prototype also brings to light the need to change the health habits of both pet owners and dogs. Nevertheless, the manufacturers are hoping that their £5,000 doglift will eventually be produced for a growing market. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.5/10 - Popularity: 55% | Activity: 73% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Health](https://www.trendhunter.com/health) ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Senior Pet-Friendly Walking Aids](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/steady-walking-aid.md) - [Elevated Pet Office Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pet-chair.md) - [Rollable Bell-Shaped Dog Kennels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/poochchair.md) - [Seamless Pet Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pawstairs.md) - [Intelligent Canine Exoskeletons](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pet-power-assistive-exoskeleton.md) - [Canine Rehab Exoskeletons](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pet-power-assistive.md) - [Sustainable Dog Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/doggie-dreamhouse.md) - [Collapsible Canine Stretchers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foldable-pet-stretcher.md) - [Parametric 3D-Printed Dog Wheelchairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wheelchair-for-dogs.md)
