Much like the original EKG, the new kettle sits on a heating base that is controlled by a single knob that ranges in power from 135°F to 212°F. The Stagg EKG+ also features a Hold Option, which allows the kettle to maintain a constant temperature for 60 minutes, something that is also featured on the Stagg EKG. Where the Stagg EKG+ starts to differ from its predecessor comes from its app integration. The integration allows the kettle to operate remotely and maintain a list of recipes to make the [perfect brew of coffee or tea](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-tea-infuser). The Stagg EKG+ also has the ability to connect and work in tandem with Acacia coffee scale and the Baratza’s Sette 270W grinder to create perfect concoctions. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.3/10 - Popularity: 37% | Activity: 55% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Smart Kitchen Appliances:** Developing smart kitchen appliances with app integration and remote operation capabilities can enhance user experience and convenience. - **Remote Controlled Home Devices:** Investing in remote controlled home devices with app integration can provide users with greater control and convenience in managing their appliances. - **Internet of Things in the Kitchen:** Leveraging the Internet of Things (IoT) technology in the kitchen can enable seamless connectivity and synchronization between appliances for improved efficiency and precision. ### Where This Applies - **Appliance Manufacturing:** Appliance manufacturers can seize the opportunity to develop innovative, app-integrated smart kitchen appliances like smart kettles to meet the growing demand for connected home devices. - **Home Automation:** The home automation industry can capitalize on the trend of remote controlled home devices by offering intuitive and user-friendly apps that enable seamless control and monitoring of smart appliances. - **Internet of Things (iot) Technology:** Companies specializing in IoT technology can partner with appliance manufacturers to create a connected ecosystem of kitchen appliances, enabling efficient synchronization and automation. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modern Electric Kettles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gooseneck-kettles.md) - [Connected Kitchen Kettles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/govee-smart-electric-gooseneck-kettle.md) - [Aesthetic Electric Kettles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/corvo-electric-kettle.md) - [Connected Voice Assistant Kettles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wifi-kettle.md) - [Exclusive Modern Electric Kettles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-electric-kettle.md) - [Adjustable Temperature Kettles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/o-kettle.md) - [Third Wave Coffee Kettles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soma-stainless-steel-kettle.md) - [Customizable Connected Tea Makers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/connected-tea-pot.md) - [Stacked Tea Kettle Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stacked-tea-kettle.md)
