The unique chairs come from a collaboration between Stacklab and New York gallery furniture retailer [Maison Gerard](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mura-side-table). According to the company, Stacklab had identified a surplus of [felted wool off-cuts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/la-famiglia) within the industry and decided to create designs that utilize this material rather than having it go to waste. ""[We] designed a computer-aided system that makes productive (re)use of the off-cuts and end-of-bolt felt in the form of household furnishings," said the company in a recent press statement. The innovative system allows the company to design custom furniture while helping regional manufacturers identify and sell their remnant inventory.
