The towering structures are both elegant and deceiving. Stack was created for the London Design Festival 2015. The exhibit boasts a variety of [colorful structures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/center-center-storage) that might seem random, but they each have a special flow within the stacked displays. Each tower uses a different set of drawers that are different colors. Many of the sculptures use colors from the same family of hues to ensure a cohesive appearance. Additionally, the towers are stacked in a variety of styles. Some make use of clean erect lines, while others feature jutting edges that allow the tower to look as though it is about to topple over. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.9/10 - Popularity: 18% | Activity: 1% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Abstract Art Installations:** Developing abstract art installations that use unconventional materials and arrangements to create visually stunning displays. - **Colorful Sculptures:** Creating sculptures using vibrant and contrasting colors to add visual interest and harmonious aesthetics. - **Unstable Stability:** Exploring the concept of stability and balance by designing structures that appear unstable but maintain their structural integrity. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art Exhibitions:** Opportunity for art exhibition organizers to showcase unique and visually captivating installations that challenge traditional artistic concepts. - **Design Furniture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity for furniture designers to create unconventional drawer designs that prioritize aesthetic appeal over traditional functionality. - **Interior Design:** Potential for interior designers to incorporate abstract art installations into their design projects, bringing a unique and visually engaging element to spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Apartment-Inspired Drawer Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apt-drawers.md) - [Storage Box-Transformed Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chunks-and-blocks.md) - [Modular Stacked Furniture Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stack-furniture-collection.md) - [Mountainous Repurposed Crate Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crate-installation.md) - [Stackable Clay Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/torre-vases.md) - [Archival Furniture Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grain-pile.md) - [Compact Steel Storage](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multidrawer.md) - [Meticulous Paper-Stacked Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paragraphic-in-four-stacks.md) - [Demountable Wooden Retail Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/present-correct1.md)
