# Stacked Fairy Tale Furniture The Stack Chair by Skrivo is Comfortable Enough for a Princess By Sarah St.Jules | Published 2013-07-29 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stack-chair-by-skrivo References: [dezeen](http://www.dezeen.com/2013/07/22/stack-chair-by-skrivo-princess-and-the-pea/) & [skrivo](http://www.skrivo.com/) Inspired by the old fairy tale ‘The Princess and the Pea,’ the Stack Chair by Skrivo has combined both high quality aesthetics and comfort. In ‘The Princess and the Pea,’ the princess must sleep on a pile of mattress in order to be tested to see if she was delicate enough to feel a pea under the pile. With this chair, the designers were able to evoke a sense of organized disarray. There are stacks of pillows on the chair that can be of different sizes and textures, depending on one’s preference. This allows each person to have a chair that is tailored to their own personal likes. The aesthetic of piled up cushions instantly makes this chair look comfortable, and the causality of the pillows allow this chair to fit in seamlessly with most interior decor. This Stack Chair by Skrivo is a truly interesting design that would enhance the look of most homes. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.6/10 - Popularity: 25% | Activity: 14% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Fairy Tale Furniture:** Designing furniture inspired by fairy tales creates unique and whimsical aesthetic opportunities. - **Tailored Comfort:** Customizable cushions and pillows on furniture allow for personalized and comfortable experiences. - **Organized Disarray:** Designing furniture with an organized disarray look adds an interesting and unique touch to interior décor. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture Design:** The furniture industry can explore new and unique design ideas inspired by fairy tales. - **Home Decor:** Home décor industry can benefit from the new and unique furniture designs based on organized disarray for modern, elegant and stylish interior designs. - **Customizable Furniture:** The furniture industry can create more customizable pieces for customers seeking comfort tailored to personal preferences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Stylish Stackable Office Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nesting-chair.md) - [Nostalgic Bistro-Style Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aroma-chair.md) - [Structurally Complex Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-arch-chair.md) - [Sustainable Felt Stack Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stacklab.md) - [High-Quality Flatpack Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pagoda-chair.md) - [Meticulous Paper-Stacked Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paragraphic-in-four-stacks.md) - [Ultra-Comfy Seating Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cushy-lounge-chair.md) - [Quirky Postmodern Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-ebba-armchair.md) - [Fan-Shaped Stackable Stool Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stool-concept.md)
