The [solid-state drives (SSDs)](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ultra-compact-ssd) have a cyberpunk aesthetic that is inspired by the designer's love for sci-fi sagas like Star Wars and look like something a main character might be carrying with them on an important mission. This is further enhanced thanks to the three models within the collection that hold a whopping 16TB, 32TB or 64TB of data with color finishes of orange, tree and blue, respectively. The SSD concepts maintain a [see-through exterior design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buffalo-skeleton-hard-disk) to make their internal components visible and enhance their sci-fi-inspired aesthetic. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.4/10 - Popularity: 69% | Activity: 24% | Freshness: 9% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Sci-fi-inspired Designs:** Tech companies could explore incorporating sci-fi inspired designs into their products for a visually appealing and immersive user experience. - **Excessive Data Storage:** The demand for increased data storage capacity presents an opportunity for tech companies to innovate and create products that cater to this need. - **Transparent Technology:** Transparency in design presents a disruptive innovation opportunity as it enhances user experience and offers a unique look into the internal components of technology products. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Tech Hardware:** Tech hardware companies could utilize sci-fi inspired designs and transparency in their products to appeal to consumers who value aesthetics and advanced technology features. - **Data Storage:** The data storage industry presents an opportunity for disruption as demand for increased data storage capacity continues to rise. - **Entertainment Technology:** Sci-fi inspired designs and transparency can be utilized in entertainment technology products such as gaming consoles, VR headsets, and streaming devices to create an immersive user experience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sci-Fi-Themed Gamer SSDs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/external-ssd-drives.md) - [Laser Sword Hard Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seagate-lightsaber-collection-firecuda-ssd.md) - [Sci-Fi-Inspired Storage Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-trek-discovery-flash-drives.md) - [Monolithic Desktop Hard Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/unidentifed-hard-disk-drive.md) - [Shipping Container Storage Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cargo-hard-drive1.md) - [See-Through SSD Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-ssd-enclosure-pro.md) - [Textural Mobile Storage Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/compact-ssd.md) - [Mini Military-Grade Gamer SSDs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/adata-sd810-external-ssd.md) - [High-Performance Hard Drive Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orico-smart-ssd-enclosure.md)
