Granted, the Spun Lamp is probably one of the more clean and classy interpretations of this '[totem](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alma-light-totem-i),' as it was referred to in the already iconic movie. Created by Australian design studio Evie Group, the Spun Lamp is a decorative light fixture that can rest on the floor, the table or be hung as a pendent lamp. Since one might be tempted to give it a little twist and spin, the bottom is made out of flexible and durable rubber. The [polished mirror finishes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/miror-collection) of brass and silver makes the Spun Lamp reflect quite interestingly on its surroundings. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.4/10 - Popularity: 42% | Activity: 23% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Wooden Toy Design:** Opportunity for designers to create innovative products that incorporate classic wooden toy elements. - **'inception' Inspired Design:** Designers can draw inspiration from the movie 'Inception' to create unique and intriguing products. - **Reflective Lighting Design:** Innovative lighting designs that utilize polished mirror finishes to create visually captivating reflections. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can incorporate wooden toy-inspired elements into their projects to create playful and nostalgic spaces. - **Product Design:** Product designers have the opportunity to create 'Inception' inspired products that capture the imagination of consumers. - **Lighting Design:** Lighting designers can explore innovative techniques to incorporate reflective materials into their designs and create unique lighting installations. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [3D-Printed Reversed Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/revolve-lamp.md) - [Interactive Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tangent-lamp.md) - [Levitating Dynamic Ring Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/levitos.md) - [3D-Printed Mood Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orbyt.md) - [Sci-Fi-Inspired Dynamic Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spacetime-transformation-lamp.md) - [Cork-Base Spinning Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spinmemo.md) - [Elegant Axis-Mounted Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pendulum-lamp.md) - [Calming Orb Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orb-lamp1.md) - [Childhood-Inspired Magnetic Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orbe.md)
