The family of farmers who owns the house wanted something new, something that comprised the lush green of a lawn without the ugliness of the equipment and the reminder of their day jobs. Studio Archi Farm created the Sprout House design, which features an above-ground lawn that eliminates the reminder of their farming life. Underneath the lawn is where the cars and farming equipment are stored. Out of sight, out of mind! ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.3/10 - Popularity: 86% | Activity: 35% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Elevated Lawns:** Designing houses with above-ground lawns can provide a unique and visually appealing outdoor space. - **Hidden Storage:** Incorporating hidden storage spaces beneath lawns can declutter outdoor areas and improve aesthetic appeal. - **Escape From Work:** Creating tranquil environments that help individuals detach from their professional lives can offer a new level of relaxation at home. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Architecture:** Architects can explore the concept of elevated lawns to offer innovative design solutions that enhance the overall architectural appeal of residential buildings. - **Real Estate:** Real estate developers can incorporate hidden storage spaces beneath lawns to attract buyers by offering functional and visually appealing outdoor areas. - **Automotive:** The automotive industry can seize the opportunity to design innovative parking and storage solutions that seamlessly blend with the surrounding environment. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Elevated Garden Lofts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/attic-above-garden.md) - [Partially Buried Tranquil Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-under-the-ground.md) - [Architecture-Inspired Indoor Gardens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vegetment-vegetable-cultivator.md) - [Furniture-Inspired Indoor Gardens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/indoor-garden-system.md) - [Floating Courtyard Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/baan-oo.md) - [Indoor Gardening Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-fieldhouse.md) - [Greenhouse-Topped Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-house-1.md) - [Eco-Farm Landscape Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luxeisland-farm.md) - [Self-Watering Compact Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/patella-crescenda.md)
