In fashion, ready-to-wear never really means what it should, and the designs featured at the Spring 2010 China Fashion Week shows in Beijing were everything but.

Rather than crafting toned-down styles fit for a recession, designers for Spring 2010 China Fashion Week took the term ‘ready-to-wear’, chewed it up, spit it out, and then crafted a whole new aesthetic to take its place. The new aesthetic: body suits with clocks, [green serpentine headpieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/biomimicry-fashion) and nails, plaid jumpsuits with kitty hats and paws, and gigantic rubix cube-like balls as masks. In other words, [outrageous was the underlying theme](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/khaotique-noir).
