# Attentive Parking Apps The SpotAngels App Notifies Users When They're About to Be Ticketed By Michael Hines | Published 2017-05-03 | Autos Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spotangels-app References: [producthunt](https://www.producthunt.com/posts/spotangels-for-android) & [spotangels](http://www.spotangels.com/) Making parking tickets a thing of the past is the goal of the SpotAngels app. The app offers information on parking spots in 25 different cities. This info includes if a spot is free or metered. Further, the app sends an alert if your car is about to be ticketed, say for a street sweeping violation. The SpotAngels app's creators say that on average users save about $100 a year in tickets. The SpotAngels app also features a crowdsourced function similar to Waze's driver-sourced traffic info. Members of the community can add information on parking spots (photos with tags and a brief description), ensuring that the app is as up-to-date as possible. The SpotAngels app is currently available for both iOS and Android. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.9/10 - Popularity: 22% | Activity: 26% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Attentive Parking Apps:** Parking apps that provide alerts and information to prevent parking tickets. - **Crowdsourced Parking Information:** Parking apps that rely on community-sourced data to ensure accuracy. - **Smart City Parking:** Integrating parking apps with smart city technology to streamline parking solutions. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Smart City:** Cities looking to enhance their transportation and mobility infrastructure. - **Parking Services:** Parking management companies and parking app developers. - **Mobile App Development:** Companies specializing in app creation and development for enhancing user experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [AI Parking Assistants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/parkyai.md) - [Smart Parking Access](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/park4me.md) - [Parking Management Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/parking-management.md) - [AI-Powered Signage Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/parky-ai.md) - [AI-Powered Parking Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/parking-sign-scanner.md) - [Updated Map-Navigation Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/waze-app-1.md) - [Peer-to-Peer Parking Platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/valay-park.md) - [AR E-Scooter Parking Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ar-parking-assistant.md) - [E-Scooter Parking Monitors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bird-vps.md)
