This eerie redesign is made to look like the candy-infused witch's lair from the story Hansel and Gretel. McConnell used a combination of foam core insulation board, paint and some patience to create realistic-looking [candy cane columns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-christmas-table) and ginger bread gravestones to decorate the home. Nylon rope was also strung across the house's roof the recreate the look of icing.
