The spnKiX Wearable Mobility has essentially been a passion project for some five years and now there is a real chance that it will see the light of day someday soon. Conceived and created by product designer Peter Treadway, his [motorized shoe](http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peter-treadway) idea caught the attention of many people early last year. Since then, he has refined the design and launched it on Kickstarter for funding.

The spnKiX Wearable Mobility is a pair of [lithium battery-powered skates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wearable-mobility-device) that strap right over the shoes of the wearer. Small and lightweight, due to the use of fiber-reinforced nylon material, the spnKiX Wearable Mobility is controlled using a wireless remote. It can reach up to 10 miles per hour with an electric range of two to three hours.
