The tree-shaped lamp is made up of a system of [socket connectors and lightbulbs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ilo-lamp) that resemble the branches and buds on a tree. By using these materials, the lighting solution begins to take on an [organic form](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flourish-table-lamp) that looks like a real natural formation. Once fully assembled, the Splyt Light can be arranged to sit on its base on a small tabletop or hang from the ceiling as a chandelier. As well as being able to make infinite custom arrangements to the body of the lamp, there's a lot of flexibility with the bulbs that can be added to the unit, including warm-glowing incandescents or energy-efficient LED bulbs. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.0/10 - Popularity: 73% | Activity: 69% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Customizable Lighting Fixtures:** The Splyt Light's customizable features showcase an opportunity for the lighting industry to provide bespoke lighting solutions to customers. - **Modular Design:** The modular design of the Splyt Light can inspire the furniture and home decor industry to incorporate easy-to-assemble and customizable features in their products. - **Nature-inspired Lighting Design:** The Splyt Light's tree-shaped lamp presents an opportunity for designers and lighting professionals to create eco-friendly lighting fixtures that are visually appealing and functional. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Lighting:** The Splyt Light is a disruptive innovation for the lighting industry, presenting opportunities for customizable and nature-inspired lighting design. - **Furniture:** The modular design of the Splyt Light can inspire the furniture industry to incorporate easy-to-assemble and customizable features into their products. - **Home Decor:** The customizable features of the Splyt Light can inspire the home decor industry to provide bespoke decor solutions to customers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sculptural Wooden Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arc-lamp.md) - [Interconnecting Component Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/customizable-table-lamp.md) - [Shape-Shifting Modular Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moodi.md) - [Modular Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aplat.md) - [Customizable Magnetic Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-magnetic-lamp.md) - [Ultra-Flexible Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anywhereuse-lamp.md) - [Customizable Industrial Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pi-modular-lamp.md) - [3D-Printed Reversed Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/revolve-lamp.md) - [3D-Printed Modular Lamp Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stak-modular-lamp.md)
