# Two-Limbed Illuminators The SplitLamp Lights Up in Two Directions with Adjustable Intensity By Amelia Roblin | Published 2013-03-19 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/splitlamp References: [tuvie](http://www.tuvie.com/splitlamp-by-predrag-vujanovic/) & [behance.net](http://www.behance.net/gallery/SplitLamp/7557757) Multitaskers will appreciate the duality of the SplitLamp in its capacity to direct bright beams at two different angles. The [flexible arms of the light fixture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pivoting-lamps-collection) have two bends each that can be further flexed or flattened to adjust the direction of the OLED strips. They can even be tipped and tilted from the base. The [sleek and sculptural desk lamp](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/juba-tl1-table-lamp) is made from a clean white material and is void of fussy switches and dials. The [discrete ON button](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tap-tap-table-lamp) can be found on the rear side of Predrag Vujanovic's table lamp and the subtle intensity controls are at the bottom of each branch, activated easily by the warmth of your fingertips. The SplitLamp will conveniently conform to its setting and the task before you. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.8/10 - Popularity: 57% | Activity: 20% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Adjustable-intensity Lighting:** The SplitLamp's flexible arms and adjustable OLED strips offer a disruptive innovation opportunity for customizable and adaptable lighting solutions. - **Flexible Desk Lamps:** The SplitLamp's flexible arms and tiltable design create a disruptive innovation opportunity for ergonomic and versatile desk lighting. - **Sleek Minimalist Lighting Design:** The clean and fussy-free design of the SplitLamp presents a disruptive innovation opportunity for modern and minimalist lighting fixtures. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Interior Design:** The SplitLamp's adjustable intensity and sleek design offer disruptive innovation opportunities for incorporating functional yet stylish lighting in interior design projects. - **Lighting Manufacturing:** The flexible and customizable features of the SplitLamp create a disruptive innovation opportunity for the development of innovative lighting products and solutions. - **Office Supplies:** The SplitLamp's ergonomic and adaptable design presents a disruptive innovation opportunity for office supplies companies to offer ergonomic and space-saving desk lighting solutions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Flexible Workstation Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/archflex-desk-lamp.md) - [Fashionable Flicker-Free Desk Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shlight-led-desk-lamp.md) - [Planetary Dual-Illumination Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orbis-lamp.md) - [Dynamically Customizable Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/illum-desk-light.md) - [Multifunctional Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-boring-lamp.md) - [Energy-Saving Minimalist Desktop Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-desktop-lamp.md) - [Simplistic Angular Desktop Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/linear-table-lamp.md) - [Sophisticated Productivity Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/benq-mindduo-2-table-lamp.md) - [Adjustable Sculptural Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ovo-lamp.md)
