Designed by *Michael L. Wendel*, Splash Lounge is the perfect piece of furniture to lounge in outdoors next to your pool. The complex process of making the chair started at sculpting it at 1/8th scale using Sculpey clay, then it was cut into ¼ inch slices which were scanned, blown up to full scale, and plotted to be used as a template for the full scale model. After adhering the templates to 2 inch pink insulation foam and assembling them to the [full scale form](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loop-furnitures), the desiger spent hours sanding and shaping the chair. As for the coating, the chair is first coated in four coats of Elmer's glue, then sprayed with chopped fiberglass, sanded down and coated with Bondo. Finally the chair is painted with high epoxy glossy white paint to give it a sparkling sexy look. That's one hell of a long manufacturing process!
