The clock features a charcoal-like design that has the time displayed through a series of cutouts that make the digits look more like burning embers. This is paired with an [aroma diffuser functionality](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aroma-diffuser-1) that will emit the smell of fresh coffee upon going off to help wake the person up with a little more ease in the morning hours. The 'Spiritus' alarm clock can be set to [diffuse aroma for 30, 60, 120 or 180 minutes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-aromatherapy-diffuser) and is reported by the designer to be perfect for those who have trouble waking up in the morning.
