The [underground storage box unit](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hemisphere) allows homeowners to bury the hose in the ideal location in the garden to make watering easier. The frost protection design ensures the unit can stay buried during the winter months and still be ready to go once the warm weather returns. To install the Gardena Underground Spiral Hose, the main storage unit needs to be buried in a hole and connected to a water source. From here, users can retrieve the hose at their leisure to make keeping a garden hydrated a more streamlined. The system is crafted from high-impact heavy duty plastic and features a self-draining valve to ensure water isn't stored in the unit to prevent freezing. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.9/10 - Popularity: 54% | Activity: 54% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **In-ground Garden Hoses:** Opportunity for innovation in creating more efficient and streamlined garden watering systems. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Garden Equipment:** The gardening industry can explore new ways to improve the efficiency and convenience of garden watering. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [High-Performance Garden Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/garden-solutions.md) - [Connected Smart Hose Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-hose-timer-starter-kit.md) - [Self-Watering Flowerpots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gropot.md) - [Spherical Self-Watering Pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sweet-basil-selfwatering-globe.md) - [Mini Mess-Free Garden Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hydroponics-garden.md) - [Self-Sustaining Indoor Gardens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/automated-hydroponic-indoor-garden.md) - [Futuristic Self-Watering Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-klaustrafloria.md) - [Four-in-One Herb Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/harry-herbs-indoor-herb-garden.md) - [Automated Indoor Gardens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-evergrow.md)
