Barsamian's work is rather stunning on its own when seen in static images. The [cylindrical nature of the pieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-sculptures-1) is at once creepy and mesmerizing, with more than a touch of the bizarre. But his work truly comes alive when the pieces are spun at a high speed and hit with a strobe light. At this point, the spinning art takes on a epilepsy inducing [animated quality](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/art-in-motion-exhibition) that should seem familiar to anyone who played around with a Zoetrope as a kid. Barsamian's spinning art is part of 'The Creator's Project,' a global network of artists that combine technology, culture and the arts. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.3/10 - Popularity: 48% | Activity: 43% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Spinning Art Sculptures:** Opportunity to create immersive and dynamic art experiences through the fusion of technology and traditional art forms. - **Cylindrical Art:** Chance to explore the unsettling and captivating aspects of three-dimensional cylindrical art pieces that come to life through motion and light. - **Dynamic Animated Art:** Potential for creating visually stimulating and interactive art installations that evoke childhood nostalgia and embrace technological advancements. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Art Exhibitions:** Opportunity for art galleries and museums to showcase innovative and engaging art installations that captivate and surprise visitors. - **Entertainment Events:** Potential for event planners and organizers to incorporate mesmerizing spinning art sculptures as part of visually captivating performances or installations during concerts, festivals, and other live events. - **Art and Technology Collaborations:** Opportunity for artists and technologists to collaborate on projects that merge artistic expression and cutting-edge technology, creating immersive experiences that transcend traditional art forms. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Physics-Informed Digital Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/motion-sculpture.md) - [Mesmerizing Gyroscopic Desk Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gyro-spin-spectre.md) - [Emotional Light Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/miror-collection.md) - [Interactive Kinetic Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interactive-kinetic-sculptures.md) - [3D-Printed Flip Books](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stl-sculptures.md) - [Artfully Rotating Glass Pillars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/panorama.md) - [Mesmerizing Sand Pattern Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crystal-sandsara.md) - [Sculpted Rhythm Forms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-kinetic-collection.md) - [Gem-Like Sculptural Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cylindrical-lenses.md)
