# Rainbow Pinwheel Rugs The Spin Carpets Make Vibrant and Whimsical Additions to a Drab Room By Amelia Roblin | Published 2014-03-14 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spin-carpet References: [nodusrug.it](http://www.nodusrug.it/en/rugs_collection_tab.php?ID=SPIN1) & [constanceguisset](http://www.constanceguisset.com/index.php?/objet/spin/) I cannot say that the image of the pinwheel on my sluggish [Mac](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vitalink-keyboard) computer stimulates positive feelings; however, these Spin Carpets take on a very similar appearance and they are certainly capable of brightening a person up. Designed by Constance Guisset for Nodus, this pair of [round area rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/discorectangle) exudes the beautiful spectral effects that come full circle with some wonderfully hypnotizing motifs. The dynamic designs of both Spin 1 and Spin 2 have focuses that are off-centered, making them more engaging to examine. The first one features a beautiful twisted pattern of expanding [colorful stripes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/newstalgia-collection) that keep relatively consistent in width. The second Spin Carpet is visibly a more complex version of the former, integrating opposing curved lines that section off the stripes with subtle tonal changes for a jewel-like texture. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.6/10 - Popularity: 34% | Activity: 7% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Spectral Effects:** Creating products that incorporate beautiful spectral effects to enhance visual appeal and captivate consumers. - **Engaging Designs:** Developing products with off-centered and visually engaging designs to create a lasting impression on consumers. - **Complex Patterns:** Designing products with intricate and complex patterns that offer a sense of depth and texture. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Decor:** Exploring the use of vibrant and whimsical designs in home decor products to add visual interest to living spaces. - **Textiles:** Incorporating dynamic designs and tonal changes in textiles to create unique and visually captivating products. - **Interior Design:** Integrating off-centered and intricate patterns in interior design to create visually stunning and memorable spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Mesmerizing Artful Patterned Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/electtrico-collection.md) - [Patterned Artisanal Hand-Tufted Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/giro.md) - [Math-Inspired Colorful Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/weave-collection.md) - [Flower-Inspired Vibrant Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/espressionismo-floreale.md) - [Exquisite Textured Rug Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/textured-rug.md) - [Season-Inspired Rug Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/artistic-rug-range.md) - [Optical Illusion Carpets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-3d-carpet.md) - [Artful Versatile Rug Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nanimarquina.md) - [Dynamic Flatwoven Carpet Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/matter-colection.md)
