# Spilled Coffee Art This Artist Creates Intricate Images Using Freshly Spilled Coffee By Ady Floyd | Published 2015-07-01 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spilled-coffee-art References: [mymodernmet](http://www.mymodernmet.com/profiles/blogs/giulia-bernardelli-spilled-food-art) & [instagram](https://instagram.com/bernulia/) Artist Bernardelli creates unique spilled coffee art from visions that evolve through his imagination. The beautiful pieces of art are displayed on a white background that reflect a tablecloth, which pairs nicely with the essence of the artistic coffee stains. Each piece of spilled coffee art displays an entirely new scene from [portraits of famous people](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glass-portraits) to landscapes and animals. Some of the artwork incorporates an authentic coffee cup that is either tipped over or standing up to reveal a tiny amount of coffee that didn't make it onto the tablecloth. This artist uses social media to promote her art and she has created an [Instagram](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paint-drop) account called @bernulia to showcase each new piece of art that is added to the collection. Some of the artwork even uses coffee cakes and scones with jam to create these beautifully unique images. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.8/10 - Popularity: 75% | Activity: 91% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Spilled Coffee Art:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop new techniques and materials to enhance the creation of spilled coffee art, expanding the range of possibilities. - **Coffee-inspired Social Media Art:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore the intersection of coffee art and social media to create engaging and shareable content that resonates with a wide audience. - **Food-based Art:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Combine food and art in unique ways, like using coffee cakes and scones with jam, to create visually stunning and edible creations. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Art and Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Introduce new artistic mediums and techniques, such as spilled coffee art, to push the boundaries of traditional art forms. - **Hospitality and Food Service:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporate coffee-inspired art into café and restaurant experiences to enhance customer engagement and create memorable dining moments. - **Social Media Marketing:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop strategies and platforms that leverage the power of visual and interactive art content, like spilled coffee art, to increase user engagement and brand awareness. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Coffee Grounds-Made Home Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/coffee-grounds-as-material.md) - [Playful Coffee-Inspired Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/andrew-rae.md) - [Tri-Spout Latte Art Pitchers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/latte-art-pitcher.md) - [Self-Operating Sand Artwork Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/origin-coffee-table.md) - [Leftover Househouse Paint Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paint-drop.md) - [Wavy Sculptural Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-coffee-tables.md) - [Pop-Up Art Gallery Cafes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/saatchi-flowers-signature-cappuccino.md) - [Oil Painting-Inspired Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/antonio-santn.md) - [Artful Coffee Table Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vertushka.md)
