At least, that's what the protrusion by the entrance looks like at a quick glance. Although static in reality, this design touch does being a sense of movement to the structure that is refreshing. Overall, however, the Spiegel Haus focuses on elements that bring a sense of relaxation to those residing inside. With tons of [open spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/openfield-house) and [natural lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/big-sky-beach-house), it's hard to imagine anything but enjoying a good rest. This ambiance is complemented with a robust design by Carterwilliamson Architects. Located in Sydney, Australia, the Spiegel Haus is stunning. The studio write, "Our clients’ trust and vision has commissioned a home that responds to the constraints of inner-city living and the complexities of family life through spatial planning and materiality in order to maximise space, light, longevity and joy." ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.1/10 - Popularity: 63% | Activity: 21% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Folding Front Design:** Opportunity for architects and designers to explore innovative ways to incorporate folding front designs in residential and commercial structures. - **Sense of Movement:** Potential for creating spaces that evoke a sense of movement and dynamism through static design elements, enhancing the overall experience for occupants. - **Relaxation-focused Architecture:** Increasing demand for architectural designs that prioritize relaxation, open spaces, and natural lighting to create calming and restful environments. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Architecture:** Opportunity for architects and architectural firms to offer folding front design solutions, creating innovative and visually striking structures. - **Interior Design:** Potential for interior designers to create spaces that incorporate sense of movement through visual elements, furniture, and light fixtures. - **Real Estate:** Growing market for real estate developers and agents to promote relaxation-focused architecture as a selling point, appealing to potential buyers seeking tranquil living spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Nature-Rooted Family Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/haus-am-lagnesberg.md) - [Privacy Enhanced Minimal Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-open-house-1.md) - [Compact Urban Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stealth-house.md) - [Privacy-Focused Australian Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clifton-house.md) - [Materially Expressive Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alma-switch-house.md) - [Anticipatory Architectural Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vulcan-house.md) - [Compact Corner Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modus-architect.md) - [Temple-Inspired Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/j-kidman-architecture.md) - [Light-Filled Open Beach Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/big-sky-beach-house.md)
