The bright rainbow colors add a festive look to any ceiling. The Spektral has multiple purposes: you can use it as a [lamp cover](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/farolito), as hanging decoration in your window or as a [holiday ornament](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paper-christmas-ornament). Children especially will love the cheerfully stimulating colors of this fantastical floating mobile. The [light-as-air spindly paper design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lp-lamp) was conceived by Briggita and Benedict Martig-Imhof of children's toy store Tät-Tat. As the Spektral spins and twirls, the colors change and contort, creating a visually pleasing effect. By using paper, the ethical design firm ensured that the Spektral Paper Mobile would have the lowest impact possible on the environment. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.1/10 - Popularity: 49% | Activity: 7% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Colorful Room Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop eco-friendly and visually appealing room decorations that add a splash of color and festive look to any space. - **Multipurpose Decorative Items:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Design versatile and adaptable decorative items that can be used as lamp covers, window decorations, and holiday ornaments. - **Interactive Floating Mobiles:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create visually stimulating mobiles that change and contort colors as they spin and twirl, appealing to children and adults alike. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Ethical Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop environmentally-friendly design solutions that minimize the impact on the environment while adding aesthetic value. - **Children's Toy Stores:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Curate unique and engaging products in children's toy stores that captivate children's imaginations and provide playful experiences. - **Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Invent innovative and versatile home decor products that enhance the ambiance and aesthetic appeal of living spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Geometric Outdoor Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/colored-glass-wind-chime.md) - [Celestial Ceiling Lighting Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cosmobile.md) - [Suspended Origami-Like Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sora-light.md) - [Paper-Made Origami Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hanging-origami-lamp.md) - [Colour Shift Clear Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/color-roller.md) - [Artsy Hanging Plants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-air-plant-mobile.md) - [Sparkling Illuminated Festive Wreaths](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/starry-wreath.md) - [Origami-Inspired Suspended Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sora-pendant-light.md) - [Dreamlike Bubble-Shaped Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airshape-lamp.md)
