# Watercraft Pool Tables Peter McKee Creates an Incredible Speedboat Billiards Table By Josh Milenthal | Published 2010-09-07 | Unique Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/speedboat-billiards-table References: [bornrich.org](http://www.bornrich.org/entry/peter-mckee-s-60000-speedboat-turned-pool-table/) & [parramatta-advertiser.whereilive.au](http://parramatta-advertiser.whereilive.com.au/news/story/pool-ahoy-black-ball-in-starboard-pocket/) Peter McKee has created something very cool that I guarantee you have never seen or even imagined before: a 21-foot long speedboat billiards table. Created for a client, the seven pocket table is literally a modified boat with a pool table on top of it, not just a pool table in a costume. The table also has a ball return system like most pool tables -- this one just ends up at the tail end of the boat where the engine should be. The table was created as a tribute to Brian Rix, a water skier who was killed in a [boating accident](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/looptheloop-boat) in 1999. Notable cause or not, I want my own speedboat billiards table! ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.2/10 - Popularity: 56% | Activity: 93% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Bizarre](https://www.trendhunter.com/bizarre) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Boat-themed Furniture:** Creating unique furniture by incorporating boat elements that have unique functionality opportunities. - **Transportation-inspired Game Tables:** Incorporating elements of transportation with traditional game tables creating a new line of luxury furniture. - **Outdoor Game Tables:** Outdoor game tables with unique design elements are becoming a sought after luxury item. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Luxury Furniture:** The luxury furniture industry could explore incorporating unique design elements in game tables using a more immersive approach. - **Boat Manufacturers:** Boat manufacturers can expand their offerings to luxury design furniture by incorporating unique design elements from their boats. - **Outdoor Living:** The outdoor furniture industry has the opportunity to create luxury unique outdoor game tables. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Miniature Toy Billiards Table](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vintage-billiards-table.md) - [Modern Chromatic Billiards Collection](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/monocolor-billiards.md) - [Aquatic Lake Wood Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/snhetta-intersection-table.md) - [Luxury Transparent Game Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/effetto-71-ping-pong-table.md) - [Asian Watercraft-Inspired Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sampan.md) - [Wave-Inspired Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seahorse-coffee-table.md) - [Pop Art-Inspired Foosball Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rs4-home-x-hey-foosball-table.md) - [Physically Looped Canal Boats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/looptheloop-boat.md) - [Ultra-Fast Hybrid Speedboats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hybrid-speedboat.md)
