The [art installation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a-capsule-in-time) is titled 'Transition' and is inspired by star gazing and astronomy. The cylindrical paper sculpture resembles a pod with a small door at first glance. Once inside, visitors will look up to find a gorgeous ceiling that is meant to evoke the beauty of our vast universe. The [botanically shaped ceiling](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shiyuan-xu) boasts countless cut-outs of paper that are joined together seamlessly. These elements reveal natural light from the sky above and create a sensory experience for anyone who is looking through them. 'Transition' surprises art lovers and gives them an experience they wouldn't necessarily expect from its seemingly plain exterior. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.4/10 - Popularity: 87% | Activity: 36% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Spatial Installations:** Creating immersive art experiences through spatial installations. - **Natural Inspiration:** Using nature as a muse for artistic creations and installations. - **Sensory Experiences:** Designing art installations that engage multiple senses for a heightened experience. ### Where This Applies - **Art and Design:** Exploring innovative ways to create immersive and sensory art installations. - **Architecture and Interior Design:** Incorporating natural elements and innovative spatial designs in architectural and interior projects. - **Tourism and Hospitality:** Creating unique and memorable sensory experiences for tourists and hotel guests through immersive art installations. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Organic Spiral Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pasona-natureverse-pavilion.md) - [Paper-Made Mosaic Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/real-life-architecture-exhibition.md) - [Blooming Paper Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kazuhiro-yamanaka-tsubomi-lamp.md) - [Sculptural Paper Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fragmenti.md) - [Flat-Pack Paper Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tsubomi.md) - [Pointy Paper Lantern Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paper-lantern-pavilion.md) - [Washi Paper-Inspired Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shining-a-light.md) - [Science-Backed Wooden Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/seed-stories.md) - [Blooming Light Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bloome.md)
