# Space-Saving Desk Lamps Joonyeol Bae Designs the Playful and Minimalist Light-Up Desk Lamp By Kalin Ned | Published 2023-01-16 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spacesaving-desk-lamp References: [yankodesign](https://www.yankodesign.com/2022/12/03/inspired-by-story-of-a-light-switch-eye-catchy-colors-of-this-desk-lamp-is-the-visual-motivation-youll-need-to-start-your-day/) Designer [Joonyeol Bae](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dual-printer-device) brings a [space-saving desk lamp](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/engrid-desk-lamp) design that will be useful to individuals who struggle with organizing or fitting everything onto their workstations. The shape of this product is inspired, interestingly enough, by "the story of a light switch, which the designer believes, has more meaning when turned on than lighting up the space." Drawing on this rather unconventional cue, the product is named the 'Light-Up Desk Lamp.' The silhouette of this product is [minimalist, slim, and slick](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delite-20). It is offered in three pastel colorways, including green, blue, and pink. The light is not intense and does not disrupt with "disturbing color changes and odd flickers." In addition to being space-saving, Joonyeol Bae's design also offers productivity-enhancing properties. Individuals may choose to place sticky notes, schedules, and to-do lists on the body of the lamp.
