NASA astronaut Mark Polansky, the commander of the next mission (STS-127), to the [International Space Station](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orbital-module), and Mike Massimino, the mission specialist for STS-125, will be the first people to tweet from space.

Polansky and Massimo have been sharing their training for the mission on Twitter, and plan on taking and answering questions from orbit on their Twitter accounts and live on [YouTube](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foundation).

NASA has also published galleries of the ISS and [Mars Rover](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mission-mars) to accommodate the portion of their audience that uses social networking.

That’s one small step for NASA, and one giant tweet for mankind!
