# Stylized Space Station Photography This Shoot Takes a Look at the Other Side of Space Travel By Michael Baxter | Published 2014-01-15 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/space-station-photography References: [fastcoexist](http://www.fastcoexist.com/3023460/mesmerizing-photos-from-inside-the-european-space-agency) & [edgarmartins](http://www.edgarmartins.com/) Space station photography is not usually the first thing people think of when asked about space photography. The shots of Earth or various shots of the moon are classic and iconic but this shoot takes a look at what else goes into being an astronaut. Edgar Martins has had a self-proclaimed lifelong obsession with space travel and this love for space comes out in these shots of the European Space Agency. This photo series is pretty all-encompassing and covers much of the station. Martin's goal was to take a look at not only the exciting and relevant aspect of space travel which ends up being the big photos of stars, planets and other space debris, but to focus a bit more on the personal aspect of being an astronaut. The shoot is compelling and the shots look great. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.2/10 - Popularity: 11% | Activity: 18% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Photography](https://www.trendhunter.com/photography) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Personal Space Station Photography:** Capturing personal aspects of astronauts in space instead of focusing on stars and planets. - **Lifestyle Documentation in Space:** Documenting the daily routines and habits of astronauts in space. - **Interior Design in Space Stations:** Exploring design and aesthetics of living spaces in space stations. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Photography and Videography Industry:** Opportunities for photographers to explore space photography beyond planets and stars. - **Space Exploration Industry:** Using photography to document and understand astronauts' lives in space. - **Interior Design Industry:** Creating innovative design solutions for living spaces in space stations. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Immersive Space Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beyond-the-light.md) - [Retro Space-Themed Puzzled Posters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/john-carter.md) - [Space Tourism-Inspired Restaurants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ichi-station.md) - [AI-Powered Portrait Studios](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-powered-portrait-studio.md) - [Space-Inspired Suitcases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/solgaard-x-startalk.md) - [Cosmic-Themed Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cosmicthemed-art-exhibition.md) - [Space Rv Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dianai-solar-sailer.md) - [Accessible Space Travel Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/space-elevator-concept.md) - [Celestial Lounge Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/venus-lounge.md)
