# Cutout Light Structures The Space Lab Pavilion is a Brightly-Lit Shelter By Allison Love | Published 2010-06-17 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/space-lab-pavillion References: [notcot.org](http://www.notcot.org/post/31652/) & [muuuz](http://muuuz.com/2010/06/16/space-lab-par-kohki-hiranuma/en/) The Space Lab Pavilion is a safe haven from the harsh environment with all the benefits of natural light. The [beautiful wooden structure](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/carbon-garden-pavilion) has hole-like filters that allow ambient sunshine to enter the building. I could probably spend hours in this building, just soaking up the [peaceful surroundings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/enfold). I also love the idea of [natural light being filtered](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-solai) through the cracks--the interior of the structure looks like an art exhibit.
