These intergalactic makeovers turn our favorite past and present celebrity men into out-of-this-world stars. Joshua Arters' blog Space Beards: The Facial Frontier turns your ordinary beard into a magnificent cluster of space. He collects images of celebrities and their shaggy beards and followers' submissions to create [portraits that replicate space](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-powered-portrait-studio). Arters says that "there are already all kinds of [space Tumblr blogs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pic-2-planet) like Sloths in Space, Cats in Space, all the usual Internet-worthy stuff." The site originally started off as a joke but has turned into much more than a place where he can post funny pictures for his friends to see. The site also features "quotes" from celebrities talking about space. Space beards has become immensely popular; Joshua had to put a cap on requests. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.1/10 - Popularity: 23% | Activity: 1% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) > [Humor](https://www.trendhunter.com/humor) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Space Beards:** Exploring the trend of turning ordinary beards into intergalactic clusters, creating a unique and visually striking aesthetic. - **Celebrities in Space:** Mixing images of celebrities with space-themed visuals, creating a fun and imaginative twist on popular icons. - **Humorous Tumblr Blogs:** The emergence of Tumblr blogs dedicated to combining different themes like sloths, cats, and now space, resulting in entertaining and shareable content. ### Who This Affects Most - **Art and Design:** Opportunities for artists and designers to create and sell space beard-inspired artwork and merchandise. - **Social Media:** Platforms like Tumblr and Instagram can capitalize on the popularity of space beards by promoting related content and creating new engagement opportunities. - **Entertainment and Pop Culture:** Space beards offer opportunities for collaborations between celebrities, influencers, and brands to create unique and buzzworthy campaigns. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Cosmically Inspired Haircare](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/super-nova-hair-care.md) - [Space-Themed Marbled Bear Figurine](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/black-hole-1.md) - [Retro Space-Themed Puzzled Posters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/john-carter.md) - [Space-Inspired Suitcases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/solgaard-x-startalk.md) - [Beard-Focused Premium Grooming Brands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/premium-grooming-brand.md) - [Festive Light Painting Techniques](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-painting-1.md) - [Humorous Star-Studded Chip Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/call-of-the-mustaches.md) - [Playful Hockey Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beard-in-a-box.md) - [Space-Themed IPA Beers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/space-craft-ipa.md)
