Considering the slew of [man-made floating island concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aquapraa) I have come across in the past, I couldn't believe that the Soul Flora would be the first to actually be created. Surely there has been one before this? I guess not.

To be completed later this year, the [Soul Flora floating island](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/isola-della-musica) will be located in Seoul, Korea, on the [Hangang River](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/corona-island-2025). Costing approximately $84 million, it spans 9,995 square meters and is anchored by concrete blocks on the bottom of the river.
